1. KAJIAN AWAL TENTANG TAHAP KEFAHAMAN BELIA ISLAM DI LEMBAH KLANG TENTANG HAK KEBEBASAN BERAGAMA

Dalam konteks kehidupan beragama masyarakat Malaysia, hak kebebasan beragama seringkali dikaitkan dengan isu murtad atau menukar agama, penyebaran agama bukan Islam dan juga status ajaran bukan ahli sunnah wa al-jama’ah. Hak kebebasan beragama di Malaysia difahami berdasarkan kepada prinsip Islam dan perlembagaan negara. Oleh yang demikian, ianya adalah bersyarat iaitu selagi tidak menjejaskan keselamatan awam, kesihatan, moral, keteraturan dan
kestabilan negara. Isu-isu hak kebebasan beragama di Malaysia telah menimbulkan polemic dan melahirkan beberapa pertubuhan NGO seperti IFC (Islam Interfaith Commision) atau nama sebenarnya IRC (Inter Religious Centre), Kumpulan Artikel 11 dan COMANGO (Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process) atau Gabungan Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan Malaysia yang memperjuangkan agar hak kebebasan beragama terbuka yang menepati piawaian hak kebebasan beragama yang terkandung di dalam Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), 1948. Oleh yang demikian, kajian awal yang dijalankan adalah bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap kefahaman belia Islam di Lembah Klang tentang hak kebebasan beragama.Kajian akan menggunakan kaedah tinjauan melalui edaran instrumen soal-selidik. Kajian telah memilih 76 orang responden yang terdiri daripada mahasiswa Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) dan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) sebagai sampel kajian. Kajian mendapati bahawa tahap pemahaman belia tentang hak kebebasan beragama adalah tinggi dengan nilai min sebanyak 3.83. Semua konstruk memberikan bacaan tahap kefahaman yang tinggi; definisi hak kebebasan beragama (4.11), isu murtad (3.92) dan penyebaran ajaran bukan ahli sunnah wa al-jama’ah (3.76) kecuali konstruk penyebaran agama bukan Islam mencatatkan nilai min sederhana sebanyak 3.54.

Based on Malaysian context of socio-religious life, most of the issue concerning freedom of religion is related with the issue of apostacy, the right of non-Muslim to propagate their teachings and the status of non-ahli Sunnah wa al-Jamaah teaching. The freedom of religion in Malaysia understands based on the Islamic principle and national constitution. Therefore, it is subjected to its terms whereby permitted as long as not affected the public security, health, moral, regularity and stability of the country. The issue of the right and freedom of religion in Malaysia create a polemic and has led to the formation of several NGOs such as IFC (Interfaith Commision) or previously known as IRC (Inter Religious Centre), Kumpulan Artikel 11 and COMANGO (Coalition of Malaysian NGOs in the UPR Process) or Gabungan Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan Malaysia which concentrate themselves to fight for freedom of religion as it is
constituted under Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), 1948. Therefore, this pilot study conducted to investigate the level of understanding among Muslim youth at Klang Valley on the freedom of religion. This study used exploratory method via the distribution of research instrument, set of questionnaire. The study used 76 respondents’ among students from Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor (KUIS) dan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as the research samples. The study found that the level of Muslim youth understanding on the freedom of religion is high with the min score 3.83. All the constructs also provided high level of understanding; the definition of freedom of religion (4.11), the issue of apostacy (3.92) and the propagation of non-ahli sunnah teachings (3.76), except propagation of non-Islamic teachings which recorded medium min, 3.54.

2. PEMBELAJARAN KEMAHIRAN MEMBACA BAHASA ARAB DI SEKOLAH RENDAH AGAMA INTEGRASI (SRAI) SELANGOR

Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi negeri Selangor merupakan sebahagian institusi penting dalam penyebaran bahasa Arab di negeri Selangor. Namun begitu sistem ini menghadapi beberapa cabaran, antaranya ialah kelemahan penguasaan bahasa Arab dalam kalangan pelajar. Kelemahan tersebut sering dikaitkan dengan keupayaan dan peranan guru Bahasa Arab di dalam bilik darjah. Secara perbandingannya dengan guru-guru mata pelajaran yang lain, guru-guru Bahasa Arab dikatakan masih lagi mempunyai beberapa kelemahan dalam menggunakan kaedah dan pendekatan yang terkini dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran di bilik darjah. Justeru, kajian ini akan menyentuh tentang persepsi pelajar terhadap pembelajaran kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab, di Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi di seluruh negeri Selangor. Antara objektif kajian ini ialah mengenal pasti pelaksanaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab yang dilalui oleh murid dalam pembelajaran mereka dan mengenal pasti kekuatan dan kelemahan pengajaran dan pembelajaran kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab di SRAI. Diharap kajian ini dapat meningkatkan tahap keberkesanan pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi di seluruh negeri Selangor. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan berbentuk deskriptif kerana ia bermatlamat tinjauan atau penerokaan bagi menerangkan fenomena yang sedang berlaku. Dalam kajian ini seramai 419 orang murid daripada sembilan buah sekolah telah terlibat dalam kajian ini di mana 212 (50.6%) adalah murid lelaki dan 207 (49.4%) murid perempuan. Dapatan kajian ini secara keseluruhan menggambarkan guru kurang mempelbagaikan aktiviti pembelajaran dan pengajaran dalam kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab seperti menggunakan objek sebenar dalam menerangkan makna perkataan. Selain itu, dapatan juga menunjukkan bahawa PdP kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab di SRAI kurang menekankan galakan penggunaan kamus.

Integrated Religious Primary Schools in Selangor are one of the institutions that play an important role in the propagation of the use of Arabic language in Selangor. However, this system is presently experiencing a few challenges, among others is the students’ inability to master the Arabic language. This weakness is often linked to the issue of compentency and role of the Arabic language teacher in the classroom. When compared to teachers who are teaching other subjects, the Arabic language teachers are identified to have some weaknesses in applying the latest method and approach in the teaching and learning in their classrooms. Therefore, this study will look at the students’ perceptions towards the learning of Arabic reading skills at Integrated Religious Primary schools around Selangor. Among the objectives are to identify the effectiveness of the implementation of teaching and learning of Arabic reading skills that the students have to go through in learning it and also to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the teaching and learning of Arabic reading skills at SRAI. It is hoped that this study can increase the level effectiveness in the teaching and learning of the Arabic language at Integrated Religious Primary Schools throughout Selangor. This study utilizes the descriptive observation method because the objective is to observe and explore in order to explain the phenomenon that is happening. There are 419 pupils from nine schools involved in this study whereby 212 (50.6%) of the students are male and 207 (49.4%) are female. The overall finding indicates that teachers do not vary the activities in their teaching and learning of Arabic reading skills for example by using real-life objects when explaining the meaning of words. Besides that, the finding also shows that the teaching and learning of Arabic reading skills at SRAI does not give much emphasis on the use of the dictionary.

3. METODOLOGI PENGAJARAN MUALAF DI INSTITUT DAKWAH ISLAMIAH PERKIM (IDIP)

Insititut Dakwah Islamiah Perkim (IDIP) Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan merupakan salah satu pusat pengajian terkenal dan berperanan penting dalam mengajar dan mendidik mualaf. Ramai lepasan pelajar mualaf yang dilahirkan di IDIP ini telah berjaya menjadi pendakwah dan tokoh ilmuan yang disegani. Justeru, penulisan ini mengkaji metodologi pengajaran yang digunakan oleh tenaga pengajar kepada mualaf di IDIP. Metode kajian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan reka bentuk kajian kes. Kaedah pengumpulan data adalah melalui temu bual bersama peserta kajian yang terdiri daripada pengetua dan tenaga pengajar di IDIP. Hasil kajian mendapati tenaga pengajar mengaplikasi pelbagai metodologi yang bersesuaian dengan tahap dan keadaan mualaf di IDIP antaranya ialah teknik penyampaian yang pelbagai seperti penggunaan laras bahasa yang sesuai, penyampaian secara berulang-ulang, pembinaan kumpulan dan soal jawab. Selain itu, tenaga pengajar juga sering menggunakan teknik penyelesaian masalah, pendekatan secara berhikmah dan teknik penerapan. Untuk melengkapkan kefahaman pelajar, tenaga pengajar juga menyediakan latihan amali atau praktikal khususnya berkaitan pelaksanaan ibadah. Kepentingan kajian ini adalah untuk memberi gambaran kepada tenaga pengajar mualaf khususnya dan para pendakwah serta masyarakat Islam umumnya tentang metodologi pengajaran yang boleh diaplikasi terhadap mualaf dalam usaha mempelajari ajaran Islam.

Institut Dakwah Islamiah PERKIM (IDIP) in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan is one of the famous centre and plays an important role in teaching and educating converts. Many graduate students born in IDIP has managed to become a preacher and a respected prominent scholar. Hence, this paper examines the teaching methodology used by teachers to converts in IDIP. The method used in this research is qualitative method with case study design. The method of collecting data is through interviews with study participants consisted of principals and teachers in IDIP. The study found that teachers apply various methodologies appropriate to the level and condition of the IDIP converts among the various delivery techniques such as the use of adjustable appropriate language, delivery repeatedly, team building and question and answer. In addition, teachers also often use the problem-solving techniques, approaches and techniques for wise implementation. For a complete understanding of students, faculty also provides internships or practical training, especially regarding the implementation of worship. The importance of this study is to give teachers and preachers particularly and Muslims generally about teaching methodologies that can be applied to convert in order to learn the teachings of Islam.

4. THE MALAY NARRATIVE STORY WRITING IN THE 1920s

Tujuan kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengetahui aspek sosial dan kemasyarakat orang-orang Melayu kesan daripada cerita-cerita naratif Melayu era tahun 20-an (1920). Persoalan demi persoalan timbul tentang bilakah penulisan tentang masyarakat Melayu rentetan dari cerita-cerita naratif Melayu ini bermula? Apakah aspek-aspek sosial dalam cerita-cerita naratif Melayu ini? Siapakah pelopor yang terkenal pada era tersebut? Pendekatan metodologi kajian ini adalah kajian perpustakaan melalui pembacaan&ulasan buku-buku rujukan. Kajian mendapati penulisan tentang cerita-cerita naratif masyarakat Melayu bermula pada era tahun 20-an disusuli dengan maklumat-maklumat yang berkaitan pada masa tersebut. Di samping itu, penyelidik mendapati penulis-penulis cerita-cerita naratif Melayu ini dalam kalangan alim ulama’, guru-guru dan wartawan-wartawan yang terhad bilangannya. Dari sudut positifnya, media cetak berperanan dalam menerbitkan cerita-cerita naratif dan sastera Melayu ini. Kebanyakan cerita-cerita Melayu ini berpaksikan kepada komedi, hiburan masyarakat dan menyelitkan unsur-unsur pendidikan. Manakala aspek-aspek politik dan cerita-cerita bukan persekitaran Melayu kurang ditonjolkan. Kesimpulannya, cerita-cerita naratif Melayu ini dipersembahkan dengan gaya bahasa yang indah dan mudah difahami sesuai dengan kehidupan&persekitaran masyarakat setempat.

The objective of this study is to explore the environment of Malay social environment in shaping the art of narrative story writing during the 1920s. Questions were raised about when the phenomena of narrative story writing started within the Malay society? What are the social aspects have been considered in telling these stories? And who are the pioneering people during that era? The approach employed in this study was based on the method of reading and commenting on related books and references. As a result, the art of narrative story writing essentially started during the 1920s. On the other hand, writers of narrative stories were religious people, teachers and journalists who were very limited, despite the fact that media such as newspapers and magazines played significant role in publishing narrative stories and literatures. The nature of most of these stories were focusing on educational aspect in a socially entertaining manner. While other aspects such as politics and other non-Malay related were very limited. Consequently, these narrative Malay stories were well presented in a simple and easily-digested fashion.

5. STRATEGI PENERAPAN ELEMEN ISLAM DALAM PEMBANGUNAN TEKNOLOGI HIJAU

Teknologi hijau merujuk kepada aplikasi, produk dan sistem yang dilengkapi dengan ciri-ciri yang mementingkan kelestarian alam dan bersifat mesra alam. Teknologi hijau menjadi satu landasan yang penting bagi memelihara dan memuliharakan alam semulajadi ciptaan Allah. Sikap manusia terhadap alam telah dirakamkan oleh Allah dalam Al-Quran di mana Allah S.W.T menegur sikap manusia yang membinasakan bumi dengan tangan-tangan mereka. Berikutan teknologi hijau berfungsi sebagai peralatan yang mampu memelihara alam sekitar, selayaknya bidang ini dilengkapi dengan elemen-elemen Islam ketika proses pembangunannya. Teknologi hijau seringkali membangkitkan isu seperti kekangan pembiayaan dan kurang penglibatan Muslim. Justeru itu, apakah strategi yang boleh dilakukan untuk menerapkan elemen Islam dalam teknologi hijau bagi menjadikan teknologi hijau sebagai satu bidang yang lengkap dengan ciri-ciri patuh syariah? Makalah ini bertujuan mengkaji strategi untuk menerapkan elemen Islam dalam pembangunan teknologi hijau negara. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah analisis kandungan di mana sumber rujukan terdiri daripada artikel jurnal dan data atas talian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan antara strategi untuk menerapkan elemen Islam boleh dimulakan dengan berfokuskan kepada asas pembangunan teknologi hijau seperti melalui pembiayaan Islam, pengurusan Islam dan amalan garis panduan etika Islam. Penerapan ini secara langsung memberi kesan positif kepada masyarakat Islam terutamanya di mana mereka lebih yakin untuk menggunakan produk teknologi hijau bahkan lebih yakin untuk menceburinya. Cadangan masa hadapan boleh difokuskan kepada aplikasi setiap satu elemen Islam dalam aktiviti pembangunan teknologi hijau supaya ia menjadi lebih praktikal jika ingin dilaksanakan kelak.

Green technology refers to an application, products and systems that are equipped with features that emphasize the preservation of natural and environmentally friendly. Green technologies become one of the platforms that are important to preserve and conserve the natural environment of Allah’s creation. Human attitude towards nature is recorded by Allah in the Qur’an where Allah s.w.t criticized humans who destroy the earth with their hands. Since the green technologies can serve as tools to preserve the environment, this area should be equipped with elements of Islam during the development process. In green technology field, the common issues such as funding constraints and less competitive of Muslim in this sector. Therefore, what efforts can be taken to adopt Islamic elements in green technology to make green technology one of the syariah compliance fields? The paper aims to examine the strategy to implement Islamic elements in the green technology development. This study uses content analysis method in which the source of reference consists of journal articles and online data. The findings show the strategy to implement the elements of Islam can be started by focusing on the basic development of green technologies such as through Islamic financing, Islamic management and Islamic code ethics. This application of Islamic element will directly give a positive impact on the Muslim community especially where they are convinced to use green technology products even more confidence to venture into it. Future suggestion can be focused on the real application of each of the elements of Islam in green technology development activities so that it becomes more practical if you want implemented.

6. APPLYING MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF FASTING TRACKER ANDROID APPLICATION

Fasting is the 3rd pillar of Islam. Fasting during Ramadhan is compulsory for every Muslim. Therefore, muslim women who are unable to fast during Ramadhan such as woman in menstruation, or in child-birth bleeding, pregnant women and nursing mother will be charged as fidyah based on certain condition. Most of the women have a problem to remember how many days they missed their fasting in Ramadhan and when they have to replace (qada’) their fasting. The objective of this research is to develop an Android application for fasting and fidyah. To make this research successful, an Android application will be developed for user to track fasting by using Mobile Application Development Lifecycle (MADLC) method which includes seven phases: identification, design, development, prototyping, testing, deployment and maintenance. The purpose of this research is to help Muslims women to track their fasting and know the amount of fidyah they need to pay based on the day and year they left fasting as well as the information about fasting and fidyah based on Quran and sunnah.

7. PERCERAIAN RUMAH TANGGA DI NEGERI SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN DAN PENDEKATAN MENANGANINYA

Hikmah perkahwinan disyariatkan oleh Allah S.W.T agar pasangan suami dan isteri beroleh kasih sayang dan rahmat namun apabila ianya gagal dinikmati, sebahagian pasangan mengambil keputusan untuk mengakhiri perkahwinan mereka dengan perpisahan atau perceraian rumah tangga. Artikel ini bertujuan mengenal pasti faktor-faktor yang menyumbang berlakunya perceraian rumah tangga di Negeri Selangor serta pendekatan Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor dalam menangani masalah perceraian ini. Data kajian ini diperolehi menerusi metode dokumentasi dan temubual. Faktor perceraian dikemukakan berdasarkan data aduan yang direkod di Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor manakala pendekatan bagi menanganinya dikemukakan berdasarkan hasil temubual pegawai di Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan dikemukakan dalam bentuk kekerapan dan peratusan manakala data kualitatif dianalisis berasaskan transkripsi temubual. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengabaian tanggungjawab antara pasangan merupakan faktor paling tinggi berlakunya perceraian rumah tangga dalam kalangan pasangan suami isteri di Negeri Selangor diikuti dengan faktor masalah komunikasi, akhlak dan sosial, campurtangan pihak ketiga, lemah didikan agama, ekonomi, seksual, kerjaya, kesihatan dan faktor yang paling rendah ialah disebabkan perbezaan budaya. Pihak Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor mengambil beberapa pendekatan melaksanakan kursus pra dan pasca perkahwinan, seminar, mewujudkan unit khidmat nasihat dan membuka kaunter pertanyaan dalam usaha membendung masalah perceraian. Kerjasama semua pihak penting digembleng bagi membendung isu penceraian ini daripada terus meningkat.

The wisdom of marriage prescribed by Allah SWT as one of His uncountable mercy, where men and women accompany each other as a moral of safeguard and social needs. In governing marriage, challenges and obstacles are part and parcel of our daily life. Weaknesses and failure in managing conflicts and encounters might lead couples to end their wedding with separation or divorce. The objective of this article is to identify factors which had contributed to the divorce in Selangor and likewise, the approach by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor in dealing with the matter. Data are acquired through the method of documentation and interview. The divorce information and facts were based to data reports recorded at Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor, while the approach on its solutions are suggested, based to the finding from interview session by the in-charged officers. Data attained is analyzed through quantitative study and proposed in the form of frequency and percentage, while the qualitative data being examined based to the interview transcription approach. In conclusion, the finding shows that responsibility negligence among the couple is the highest factor contribute to the divorce in Selangor, followed by miss-communication, personal ethics, third party interference, low religion education, economy, sexual, career, health and finally the most least is the cultural differences. Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor had took several approaches in implementing pre and post marriage courses, seminar, establishing consultation unit and opening information and assisting counter in curbing divorce. Cooperation from all involved parties needed in governing the divorce from increase.
